Annual Luau Planned

Golf4Good Tournament Set
Presbyterian Urban Ministries is planning their 4th Annual Golf4Good Tournament at Sea ‘n’ Air Golf Course NAS, North Island, Coronado, on Friday, September 10. Tournament entry is $160 per golfer. Banquet dinner and access to the silent auction is $65 per non-tournament guest.
On-line credit card registration opened June 1. All Golf4Good early birds who register before July 31 will be entered into a drawing for one of four Calloway Diablo Edge drivers. Visit http://www.golf4good.org/ for more information.
Choir News
We thank the Summer Choir for providing the beautiful and inspirational music for our worship services in July and August. They will be taking a three-week hiatus.
The Chancel Choir will resume their rehearsals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8th and will provide special music for our services beginning Sunday, September 12. If you were part of the Summer Choir or have a love of music that you would like to share, please know that you are cordially invited to join the Choir when it resumes in September.
Poem Books Available
We recently said farewell from this earthly world to our friend and church ‘poet laureate’ Betty Philips, fondly know to many of us as "Grandmu." She shared her faith with us in many ways, one being through her God given talent of poetry. Several years ago she offered us a collection of her works in a book and the proceeds were applied towards a church project. We are fortunate to have several copies that the family has offered to our congregation once again. The proceeds will be donated to the church in her memory. For the next two weeks we will have the books available on the patio for $10.00 each. Please make checks payable to Palisades and include Betty Philips on the memo line.

Palisades Cookbook
Copies of Palisades 50th Year Celebration Cookbook are still available. An eclectic collection of tried and true recipes, the cookbook makes a great gift. The cost is $10 for one cookbook, or you can purchase two for the low price of $15. Cookbooks can be purchased at the church office.
